Shopping for a new table top can be both a fun and frustrating experience, especially when deciding on what size it correct for your space and your needs!

When measuring your space for a table (especially if the table is going to be used for eating!) make sure to measure the space for the size of the table plus 24" behind where any chairs may go.  This allows for plenty of space to move behind people and for getting up from the table.  

If you are tight on space, circle tables allow for more seating in a smaller footprint--as does bench seating on rectangular/square tables.  

To simplify things, below is a simple explanation of general sizes and how they can be used in your space:

24” circle/square: medium side table or small café table, great for accommodating 1 person for a full dinner or two people for coffee, cocktails or a light snack. A great match to accompany counter height or bar height seating. 

30” circle/square: seats three comfortably and up to 4 if the chairs are on the small size. This is a standard size for pub height dining for 2.  Suitable for crossword puzzles and games for 2-3.

36” circle/square: comfortably sits 4 to dine--Standard kitchen table size.  Also great for game night and a standard coffee table size.    

42” circle/square: comfortable sits 4-5 for full dining/ LARGE coffee table.

46” + circle/square: comfortably sits 5-6  for full dining/ LARGE coffee table game table.

18"x36" Rectangle : Standard small to medium coffee table/ console table size.  Can also be used as a small desk.

24"x48" Rectangle:  Great as a desk, large coffee table or dining for 4-5.

60"x15" Rectangle:  Perfect for a behind the couch, console or bar top table!

30"x60" Rectangle:  Dining for up to 6--great as a LARGE kitchen table or smaller full dining table.  Also works as a larger desk size!

36"x72" (Local Only) Full Size dining for 6 or more.  Small conference table.
